Wyvern Cantata 236
The Wyvern Cantata 236 is specifically designed for the medium size church that is often replacing an ailing pipe organ. Here sound quality is the main consideration rather than an extensive stop list.
Designed for Churches where sound quality truly matters
The Wyvern Cantata series has been conceived for churches that regard exceptional sound quality as the defining characteristic of a fine church organ. Every aspect of its design reflects the belief that authentic musical performance is achieved not through the number of stops available, but through the quality and authority of every individual rank.
The Cantata 236 is the larger stable mate of the 226 for larger worship spaces where more scope is required. It can be specified with either stop tabs or traditional full electric-action drawstops, allowing the console to complement both the character of the church and the preferences of the organist. To achieve this, each speaking stop is allocated a generous proportion of generator power, allowing every rank to speak with remarkable clarity, warmth, and dynamic expression. Rather than producing an extensive stop list at the expense of tonal integrity, the Cantata 236 offers a carefully judged specifications proportioned to the size and acoustic of the building, ensuring every stop contributes with convincing presence and realism.
The result is an instrument of outstanding musical refinement, capable of supporting congregational worship with confidence while providing the tonal depth, colour and responsiveness demanded by discerning organists. The Wyvern Cantata 236 combines uncompromising sound quality, timeless craftsmanship, and exceptional value to create an instrument that will inspire musicians and congregations for many years to come.

CHOICE OF TWO MODELS
Cantata 226 – Featuring 26 speaking stops, this model offers a carefully chosen specification ideal for small to medium-sized churches.
Cantata 236 – New model (September 2025) with 36 speaking stops. Following the sucess of the Cantata 226 this larger instrument is perfect for bigger spaces where a broader tonal palette is required.
Both models place emphasis on the quality of tone, with every stop independently generated, including individual mixture ranks. In addition to the core British specification, each organ also offers three alternative specifications: French, German, and Dutch.
CRAFTSMANSHIP
Every detail of its design is focused on delivering an authentic, inspiring musical experience.
The Cantata is housed in a robust solid oak console, built in the timeless Shaker style. Features include: oak slat roll-top, integral music desk, high quality keyboards, pedalboard lighting. While the exterior impresses with its craftsmanship, the real innovation lies within: a powerful tone generator system and six external audio channels, providing flexible separation of organ ranks and departments.
With its combination of traditional craftsmanship and cutting-edge technology, the Wyvern Cantata delivers a truly exceptional organ for worship — powerful, flexible, and built to inspire.

“At St Thomas we are delighted with the Wyvern Cantata 226 organ that was installed in 2017 by Wyvern Church Organs. The installation was very neat and the positioning of the new speakers in the rafters at the back if the church with small speakers in the chancel has given a balanced, rounded and clear sound, while also being mellow so is easy on the ear even at louder volumes. From the original planning, enhancing of the spec to include a 32 note pedalboard, through to installation and voicing, every aspect went very smoothly. I would recommend this model and Wyvern Church Organs who have been excellent throughout“
